Frequently asked questions
Short answers for companies. Can’t find your question? Write to us.
Are you licensed for temporary staffing?
Yes. Eurodelt holds its own licence under the German AÜG, issued by the Federal Employment Agency (Agentur für Arbeit Kiel). A copy of the licence comes with every offer.
Who is the employer, and who gives instructions?
In temporary staffing, Eurodelt is the employer: we sign the employment contracts, pay wages and handle social insurance. The employees work under your instructions and in your shift plan. In a works contract, our supervisor leads the team; in recruitment, you become the employer.
Where do the employees come from?
Mostly from Lithuania. EU citizens can work in Germany and other EU countries without a work permit or visa; for nationals of other countries we clarify residence and work permits in advance.
How quickly do we get an offer and staff?
You receive the offer within one working day of your complete request. Your staff are on site 5 to 10 working days after you confirm.
What is the A1 certificate?
It confirms that the employees are covered by Lithuanian social insurance during the assignment. We apply for it for every assignment; you receive a copy.
Who arranges accommodation and travel?
We do. Eurodelt arranges accommodation near your site and travel from Lithuania. Both are free of charge for our employees.
How do the employees communicate on site?
Each employee’s language skills are shown in the profile. If questions come up, your contact at Eurodelt is available to you and the team.
How long can an assignment last?
As long as you need staff – within the statutory maximum assignment period, generally 18 months with the same hirer. We plan longer assignments with you in good time.
What if someone is not the right fit?
One call is enough. A replacement is with you within 3 working days – with a profile in advance.
What does temporary staffing cost?
You pay an hourly rate per employee for the hours worked. What it includes and which surcharges apply is set out in the offer – which you receive within one working day.
How does billing work?
With one invoice based on the timesheets approved by your supervisor or shift lead.
How are pay and equal treatment set?
By the German Temporary Employment Act: it sets the minimum wage for temporary work and equal treatment with comparable permanent staff. How both are reflected in your hourly rate is set out clearly in the offer.
How does recruitment work?
We find and screen candidates in Lithuania and introduce them with a profile. You hold the interviews, decide and sign the employment contract directly. Terms are in the offer.
Can we take on temporary staff permanently?
Yes. Speak to your contact – the terms of a takeover are set out in the offer or staffing agreement.
Do you work outside Germany?
Yes. Our focus is temporary staffing in Germany. In other EU countries we work as a staffing provider or on a project basis, depending on the country and in line with its rules. Tell us where you need staff.
Is there a minimum number?
No. We provide individual employees as well as whole teams.
Which documents do we receive?
With the offer: a copy of the licence and, on request, our register details. Before the assignment: the profiles, the staffing agreement and copies of the A1 certificates.
Who is responsible for health and safety?
Both sides. As the hirer you share responsibility for health and safety at your workplace and give the on-site safety briefing (§ 11 (6) AÜG). Before the assignment we agree with you which protective equipment, certificates and briefings are needed.
Does our works council need to be involved?
Yes – the hirer’s works council must be involved before temporary staff start (§ 14 (3) AÜG). We provide the information you need in good time.
Are we liable as the hirer for wage tax or contributions?
German law provides for secondary liability of the hirer in temporary staffing, for example for wage tax. That is why we give you the documents for your checks – licence, staffing agreement and A1 certificates; further evidence on request.
